The story behind 1MSP — told publicly for the first time
People have asked me over the years — what changed you?
A simple text file.
It's something I've never spoken about publicly.
I always say 1 MSP was born in January 2023, when we started operations.
But the reality is… it was born on October 5th, 2021 — the day someone decided to take everything I had built over 20 years, and decided it was no longer mine to control.
Your network has been breached and all data were encrypted. Personal data, financial reports and important documents are ready to disclose.
That wasn't hypothetical. That was on the screen. Twenty years of work — client trust, livelihoods, family memory — held by someone I would never meet.
I learned what every business owner who gets hit learns far too late: the lock on the door doesn't matter when the attacker is already inside. Backups you never tested aren't backups. An MSP that doesn't answer the phone isn't a partner. And the moment of breach is the worst possible time to discover any of it.
I rebuilt — quieter, harder, and with a different mission.
